hell yea go for it.
the high temp BBQ paint at home depo works wonders, or if you want to take it off have it power coated with the rims. PDXTuning has done a few installs with the power coated FMIC and they looked super schweet and there was no dyno differance.

I'd say go for it, although I think it'll look odd if your STi isn't lowered.
I've thought about de-winging mine, but decided the wing gave it attitude (
) and functions very well. I'd love to see what a black wingless STi looks like.
