Default Shaggin' Wagon up and running

Just got the car back from Mastro and it feels good. That 2.5 with WRX heads has sooooo much more bottom end than the 2.0. I have to be careful since the CR is now at 9.0:1. Can't wait until the break in period is up and get this puppy tuned.

8:1 --> 9:1 and 2ltr --> 2.5ltr sure would make a HUGE difference in off-boost driveability

I'm afraid your detonation threshold is what will suffer though, and not just from the higher CR -- the funky combustion chamber you have now isn't very optimal.

If you're not planning on a wild setup, I suspect it will be fine.

Congrats on getting the car running again.

Glad to hear its running again. I saw on Nabisco that the VF22 was unharmed. Are you still using it?

Thanks for the props. Nothing new except the shortblock and related accessories. Turns out I spun two bearings (#1 and #4) on y 2.0L. My vf22 is still running (no damage) but I know it will be too small for what I want. I would like to go 20g with an 06 hotside but not sure if PE 650's are enough. Car is lumpy at idle and needs some fine tuning.

Good to hear its terrorizing the streets again A 20G has a TD06 hotside straight from Mitsu.

Sounds like the driveability will be MUCH improved once tuned.........roughly how much did the 2.5 bottom-end run you?
