2005 Subaru Challenge is coming...
Anyone ready to challenge other Scooby owners in a Subaru Only auto-x event?

www.SubaruChallenge.com is coming to Gainesville!
2005 schedule:
9/17 Aberdeen MD
10/1 Maggie Valley NC
10/22 Gainesville FL
Entry fees will be $30 and collected in advance via the web site registration. A light meal will be provided on Friday evening and lunch and refreshments will be provided at the event on Saturday. Each participant will also receive numerous Subaru freebies at registration and your own numbered door placards to run the event. Trophies will be awarded in each competitive class.
The event will be similar to last year. The courses should also be larger due to no GT ride and drive this year. We plan to limit driver participation at each event to the first 125 registrants to allow four heats and the Super Star Challenge to be run in the one day format. Go to SubaruChallenge.com for full details and to register. Also take advantage of the event hotel for you’re over night stay. We will have a Subaru only section in each parking lot for your vehicle's security and for admiring all of the Subaru’s.
Don't miss out on the fourth year of Subaru Challenges! Sign up and then get ready to have some Subaru only fun on an auto cross course. Each event will be sanctioned, insured and conducted by a local SCCA chapter.

Thanks for the advance notice......... looks like I can actually get these days off from work
What about my Saabaru....... kind of a grey area I guess for something like this that is "suby backed and sponsored" ?
It rolled off the same assembly line anyway....
Edit: Just e-mailed info@subaruchallenge.com to see what they have to say...

So who's going to enter? I might be able to help out with lodging. I go to UF so I'm in Gainesville most of the time. Pm me if you need don't feel like wasting $ for a hotel or sleeping in your car hehe. I'm always willing to help.
Got my answer.....
I was in contact with the representatives from Subaru of America
today regarding this issue and they agreed to extend an invitation to
Saab
9-2X owners to come out as well.
So go ahead and register for the event of your choice.
