Default Thinking about getting a WRX

Hey, I'm moving to Ohio to go to school and I've never drove in snow before so I want to buy a allwheel drive car to keep me somewhat in control...My question is has anyone drivin' a WRX in snow and if so would you say it's a good choice? Ofcource I'm going to mod it a bit...but during the winter months I won't be driving it hard or fast at all...so with some mods and the power of the WRX even though it's allwheel drive do you think it's a good snow/ice car? Thanks for any feed back, Jake.

Yeah it should be fine as long as you have the right tires. I have never drove in the snow so I am not sure, but it's awd.

I was fine when I wasn't messing around. I was on z rated tires too, you should be good in any car with a decent set of snow tires. Whatever car you end up in the first snow fall you see go find a open parking lot and mess around. Get the car squirly and learn how to get out of it.
