BMP April 14
so I went to test and tune tonight...im convinced I could have gotten into the 13's if i wasnt being dumb and launching my car like a retard. There where a LOT of cars there, few sti's and mantra ( I LOVE that wagon!!) . I only ran 1 time because the wait was entirely too long for me to run again...observe my garbage reaction/60 ft time !
R/T: .097
60' : 2.232 (look how bad my launch was
)
1/4 : 14.31
MPH: 97.32
think I can get into the 13's with a decent 60 foot time?
p.s.
Did I mention I love mantras wagon?

With that MPH you should be good for mid 13s so I'd say you shouldn't have a problem breaking into the 13s with a decent 60'.
A good rule of thumb is that for every 1/10th you drop off your short time (60') you'll drop twice that off your overall E/T.

I went 14.0 @ 95 with a 2.0 60ft. Drop the 60 ft and expect 13s. When i was with you it was launching nicely. Im picking up a MBC soon and hopefully Mastro will let me know WTF is going on with my up-pipe.

ya just make sure you tune it for 3rd gear and dont go WOT in 4th or 5th lol...its nice for the time being but im definately going to pick up a profec-b or something when i get my utec
Thanks for the props! I'm having issues with boost not hitting over 16.6psi and the car was stalling between runs. Can't figure out the boost since it hits 19.5 on the street? (not spiking but holding 19.5 on the street) The car stalling really bothers me. Could not launch for shit since the car wanted to die. I definately need a reflash.
I was there too with Mantra. Q- you shoulda come over. Franklin was there with some evos. My best was 13.0/ 104 but couldn't do better than 1.78~ 60ft. with these tires I have. They're great on the street but....
All and all alot of work for 4-5 runs.

Did 13.76 at 98.7 with a crappy 1.88 60' a long time ago. You're good to go for high 13s IMO.
mantra1: Could be as simple as a vacuum leak. BOV sticking partially open intermittently? Probably stating the obvious idea.

I always used to baby mine off the line, which was good for 1.8x 60's, but put the car through it's paces the rest of the way down the track. I'm using both of your times as examples because you posted some info that was close to some of my own.
For example:
I managed to click of a 12.8 @ 103mph with a high 1.8/low 1.9 60'.
And Jeff I'm sure if I could find the timeslip from my 13.5 @ 98 the 60' would be just about what you had.
I know there are alot of different factors like track prep, weather, etc...but my runs were made in weather about like what we have right now if not a bit warmer.
I've talked to alot of Subby owners since the WRX was released and the biggest thing after nailing the launch is the shifting (as with any car) but it gets overlooked alot. Just throwing this out there as food for thought, not trying to pick on anyone.
