Put the stocker back on. JK. If you run it 100% atmoshphere you may get some afterfires, since you be running rich between shifts, but should not cause the car to stall. I would spray the valve opening with some GT85, WD40 or something like that to prevent any sticking, especially since it is used.

I noticed a stumble on low idle when first starting the car as welll. this was in my friends WRX w/ HKS SSBV............Stock is the best anyway when it comes to BOV, You get NO gains from a BOV anyway......Unless your a ricer......then there are gains hat you will definetely notice

Technically speaking, you won't be considered rice if you install an aftermarket BOV. Why do I say this? Because the car is turbo-charged. Personally, the term 'rice' is washed up. What about people who install an aftermarket BOV who run high levels of boost? I suppose their rice too.

Sorry for the rant. No harm to you, K20_Civic.

It is true that aftermarket BOVs won't gain anything but sound. Who cares? Getting back to your problem, ask the previous owner if he/she tampered with the adjustment bolt.

I have the SSQ installed on my car as well, although I have seen nothing happen to the idle. My car hasn't stalled yet either.

If problems persist, it is highly recommended that you reinstall your factory BOV. Have you removed the intake silencer?

Whoa, wait a second. The person you bought it off of didn't give you the plug for the recirculating valve?

Life sucks when you dont plug that hose. Would that make you run lean since it recirculates after the sensor?
