Default Scoops!

Apparently the Subaru Trademark Scooped Hoods are catching on...

I have to tell this story.

I work at MacDill AFB and on my way walking from the parking lot I noticed a car with a scoop on the hood. It was a Honda, Accord I think. Any way as I got closer I decided to check out the scoop.

You will never believe this; you know the sunroof wind deflector visors. Yeah this guy screwed this on the hood backwards to look like a scoop. He not only screwed it on around the edges but two screws in the middle of the visor directly into the hood of the car. Man this is funny.

I'll have to get pictures next time I see it.

Quite sad - definately get some pics.

Pep Boys, Autozone, etc. sells aftermarket 'WRX-type' hood scoops and even show them on the box mounted on a PT Cruiser. Cute, huh?

Also, Toyota 4Runners have them as well.

NASIOC.com has a thread like this - I think its in the member's gallery under 'Post Your Rice Pics' or something else to that extent. I'm just too tired right now to go check.

das- You'll be noticing a new scoobie on the base here in a few months.
Also I just sold my scoop old scoop to someone but I don't think they had a subaru.

Can be no worse than the truck we say with a scoop. It was taped on with blue tape. He's all "I just wanted to see how it looked before I put it on" If I can find the pics tonight I'll post them for ya. Cause you know what they say "pictures are worth a thousand words"

I do see a silver WRX on base and occasionally park by it but I don't think the owner is a fanatic or dork like me. So are you active duty or civillian?

Do you know where he'll be working on MacDill? Or what his AFSC or job title is in the AF?
