it'd be the block of choice for me to do a build on.. that or the STi V7 .. or the older EJ20G
Thanks zate i've read that and its a great post. Unfortunately he never discloses how much power its holding, just psi levels. I would have to assume though that if he is running gt35r wheels like he claims that its handling some sick #'s.
I'm sure by the time that i need one there will be a few more people that have made an ej20/ej22t hybrid and have some numbers to show. Thanks again.

yeah that link zate gave you is where I first started to learn about the potential of the block. A ver7 is also a way to go too.

well i saw a post over at nasioc (can't find it now) where the ej22t w/ forged pistons (same setup i was looking at) bent two rods pushing 360awhp with a turbo i was also looking at. haha. Now given he boosted 28lbs, and i'm sure could have had other errors along the way but still. Clearly the stock forged rods of the ej22t are the weakness of that setup. Now the axis stage 4 - 2.35L with pauter rods, 2.5L forged crank, all balanced for 8500rpms. Now that's a bottom end that will hold 500awhp reliably

oh yeah that route will def do it. But the ej22t is a starting point, and pushing 28psi is a lot!!!
