Default 04 sti vs 05 sti

whats the real diffrences in the two years, is the 04 faster than the 05? that is just somthing i herd, and i just wanted to find out from the people who own the car...

also, is there any bad warranty issues the sti has had?

also, who has bought from Mastro?

who likes them, and are they good to do mods... are they fairly priced compared to other shops, or is it worth paying the extra to keep the warranty?

04 has lsd in the back, 05 has lsd up front and back. atleast thats what the salesman told me

05 have wider wheels as well as a different bolt pattern.

05's also have a quicker steering ratio, 17x8 BBS instead of 17x7.5 and now comes stock with a radio. Very mod friendly. My buddy's 05 STi put down 317 whp 320 trq. after a ECUTek reflash, TBE and upgraded fuel pump. He now puts a car length on me at the end 4th whereas I was putting a car length on him before his reflash.

It is not hard to see those numbers with any 3 inch all the way thru TBE and a decent tune from kingpin or similar co.

Blitz TBE with no cats. He was in Atlanta and had Subaru of Gwinett tune it for him. His car pulls real nice.
