WTF! Why does this not fit!
Ok heres the deal, i bought a greddy front strut bar for my 05 wrx at the annual clearance at racing zone. In the directions it says that i have to modify an AC line which was not really a problem but when i went to install it the brackets on both sides hit up against the air dam between the hood and the windshield. Could somebody please tell me if there is a difference in that air dam between the 02' and the 05'. thanks.

Seriously? I think you guys are smoking crack telling him that an '02-'03 strut bar won't fit the '04-'05 and that the cars are diffrent.
Any strut bar designed for an '02 should fit any US model year WRX from '02 all the way over to the '05. I had a STi replica strut bar designed for the '02 WRX on my '04 STi and I had zero problems aside from the A/C lines needing to be slightly tweaked.
The front end really is identical in almost every way behind the radiator (well, actually the whole car is) aside from exterior/interior cosmetics.
edit: I double checked to make sure my crack pipe is clean. I can't find a single strut bar made by anyone that is '04-05 specfic. Honestly, aside from some cosmetic parts you'r not going to find many parts that are '02-03 or '04-05 specifc.

I've heard the rears in the 04+ are a little different, but I wouldn't think the fronts would be.
If you come out to a TR meet, I'm sure someone could help you with it, too.
The only thing i thought ever changed is the strut tops, which you can swap out... this might be why the rears are different like ya said Leslie..
i was gonna say, i thought mechanically the 2 diff body styles are identical basically, i dunno about smoking crack though

it does fit. i had the right side bracket installed when i found out i would either have to re-locate my horn or not have one. i think ill wait for somthing 05 specific to come out. So now its for sale for $100 if anybody wants it. i could go a little lower if i am in the christmas spirit.
