Default Mastro EcuTek custom tunes

Who has had one and how do you feel the experience went?

I'm looking to get some good solid info from some folks who know decent tuning theory and have been there for a reflash.

Are they competent and not just dudes with a dyno and some software?

Please provide as much information about your experience there, things that gave you pause, or otherwise.

Many thanks.

Bump here too, is it safe for daily driving?

Zate, I've already got a Vishnu Stage 1 EcuTek reflash, so am looking for a custom tune to overwrite that one. What makes you so confident? I mean, I appreciate the generalized comment over no comment at all, but could you tell me a bit more about your experience with them that makes you stand by them without having a reflash yourself?

Well, I'm just being a careful customer is all. I gathered from the short time I was at the recent event they held that they're good people.

But I also know that it doesn't take much at all to put a smile on a face with a reflash/tune. Drive the car in one way, come out with it feeling much better overall, and your typical reflash customer leaves pleased No problem with that, just saying...

For example, one thing that gave me pause is their inadequate/poor cooling setup for the dyno.

I know enough to be particular and careful.

No matter - the info you provided is helpful. I'll start talking to them about my plans at least.

Thanks

IIRC it is $200 for a reflash and $1000 for a first time flash. (Mastro's site is down)

I suggest finding an ECU that's already tuned with ECUtek for $400 max, and then have them reflash it for $200

400 + 200 = 600 << 1000

This was similar to what I did, but for my WRX. The hard thing is trying to find an STi ECU tuned with ECUtek, but I'm sure they are out there.

Good luck,
Eric
