It will be alot more than $4 when your engine blows and you have to pay out of pocket.
I experimented with an MBC my already modified WRX and the drivability was terrible! The PTFB was way out of hand and my EGT gauge pegged with little effort. You'll easily blow the motor if you don't know what you're doing and you don't have a boost and EGT gauge to monitor things closley.
I would avoid the whole MBC route and spend the money on something like ECUTECK or AccessECU/Port.

you wi;ll quickly find with us Subaru guys.. there are a number of things we all have our own little preferences with.. UTEC vs ECUtek... different EBCs... we like diff turbos.. diff exhausts.. etc etc.. but a number of things we all agree on.. #1 intakes arent worth the money on a mildly modded WRx.. and stay away from MBCs.
i do recomedn reading alot before modding.. anyone have that WRX book from MRT around they can lend this guy ?.. not sure where mine is (its the old one anyhow)..
