Intake Silencer Removal
I have heard that this mod makes your intake sound like an aftermarket one, and it makes your turbo louder. Anyone done this before
And are there any cons to doing this.

If I was trying to get more air in for a bigger turbo I would do more then just hack the stock box...
But, Zate will tell you that there is no use at all for anything other then the stock airbox...even when trying to provide as much air as possible for a larger turbo.

I did this on my '02 and it got annoying on the interstate with every slight input of the throttle would make a noise.
I regretting doing it (too lazy to put it back) and didn't do it again on the '04.
