04 Vs 05 STI

What is the difference? I heard the diff and they added a radio. Is that all? I am thinking about buying a used 04 STI. Is the 05 worth it?

The radio became standard equipment and there are a few smal body styling changes. There was a post a while back in here that listed out the 5 (I believe) body changes.

But is one faster than the other or handles better? Is the diff all that great? I can get a used 04 STI for around 26K

Used sports cars.....

Be careful.

It'd be worth it to save the extra 6-7 grand to have the peace of mind that you're the first owner of the beast.

+1, people know what a car they just spent $30K on can do.
and I'm sure they have their fun knowing they will not be the owner when parts wear out rapidly/break from abuse.

one thing I remember is the 05s emblems are red since people can't stand rocking pink. Crazy...

I wouldn't suggest purchasing a used, white 04 STi with gold wheels and Prodrive exhaust.

I would say YES the diffs are worth it.. its the same yaw sensors and diffs as used in the JDM STi RA Spec C .. makes a world of difference from what I have read.
