I know, I've heard all about how worthless the intakes are.....it won't be getting one.....just a k&n.

The K&N is just as much of a waste of money. I would suggest just replacing with a OEM paper filter when it gets dirty or every 10k-15k. You also run a small risk of damaging the MAF sensor with a reusable filter due to the oil resedue.

I never really understood what the attraction people have to these reusable filters.

do the exhaust .. put some new shoes on it.. stiffen the chassis a little and sway bars.. and call it a day

I learned to drive manual and learned to autox in a WRX.....so that's not a problem.....just gotta get used to daily driving manual (had auto until now.) And not worried about mods for awhile....just going to enjoy it in all it's stockful glory.
