Went to the track for my second time up here with some friends last night. Ran a 14.123 @ 96.21 my first time at the tree and that remained my best all night. I was happy with the ET, my goal for the night was a 14.2-3 but i was expecting a higher trap. I thought they would be closer to 98 but i was running a pretty consistant 96mph. Kinda blows since i've been planning a race against an s2k and now i think i'll prob lose from a roll.
Anywayz, all in all i had alot of fun, i'll prob be back in tampa for this summer cause my college fucked me over, so maybe i'll be at a track day this summer and finally get to meet some of ya. I'm looking to hit 13.3-5 once i get the stg. II Cobb ecu.

These times were with no BC and the following mods:
Helix Up-pipe, Helix Downpipe, Apexi N1 catback, hacked intake w/K&N filter, and Perrin IC hoses.
Also i didn't dump the clutch once (i'm skeered to ) so i ran consistent 2.0 60 fts.

 

im sorry to say...but you should be running alout lower than a 14.1 with all those mods...i would guess if driven right you should get a 13.6 with that stuff

 

I would say i could pull mid/high 13's with a clutch dump and an mbc/ebc, but i'm staying away from both of those.

Have you been to the track lately skeet? Just curious.

I never thought you were being a dick, just curious if you had some times for yourself. Thing is, nobody runs what they'd expect their first time at the track. I'll tell you right now that unless the wrx is your beater, you def. won't run mid/low 14's stock. Like i said earlier and you pointed out, i'm not dumping the clutch, which would take 2 tenths off of my 60' time. I've just heard to many arguments on both sides to take the gamble with the cheapo 5speed . This was the second time i'd been to the track, first time i went all stock and ran 14.9. I was realistically shooting for a 14.7 because i had read that was about the norm, but turns out that that is the norm with dumping the clutch.
You should go with the subie guys one day for shits and giggles before you throw in some more mods, it's a bit of a disappointment at first but a great time by the end.

learn how to slip the clutch while starting. you can get some pretty fast launches that way.
