The only person who has used the word "rape" is 2TurboImports. DSM guys are never going to be big dyno users because it's too cheap and easy to tune on the street- it's one of the best things about DSM. The thread in the dsm forum has had very little response even though the price is in the reasonable range. I myself would only consider running on a dyno once I was close to completion of the engine mods I want to do, and then only so I could get a power number to brag about.

The Miami dyno still exists as far as I know. They've done DSM dyno days at 75 bucks for two or three pulls (can't remember which), I read about it one of the few times I went on one of the Miami boards. 100 dollars is a reasonable fee considering extra expense and setup time.
As far as having another AWD dyno in town, the demand might be there... but I think that the dsm guys are going to keep doing their own thing apart from any shops, the WRX guys are mostly happy at Mastro (since y'all are blingin anyway with those new cars and payments and jobs and all and can afford it ) and... there's nobody else who needs an AWD dyno.

your also forgetting about the Audi people they are very dense and only knew of the dyno in auburn and they make appointments several months in advance and drive from all over the south east to dyno there, Ive even read stories of people driving from canada to dyno there, same with the 996 turbo guys and the carrera 4's, they only know about APR because thats who markets to them, and they think everything other than a dyno pack is inferior since its what apr uses, Im not trying to attack you but if you were more competitive with APR's prices eventually you would have the same sales as them which warranted them to hire 2 extra people specifically for the dyno. Stephen Hooks the owner said they paid the dyno off in 8 mos charging $80 for 3 pulls.

Believe me we have people coming from all over to use our dyno.

I can see if $80 for 2 pulls is feasable. If it is we can give it a shot.

If you do that, you'll be seeing me when I get my setup in order. It saves the trouble of converting to fwd AND I can make a confusing sig saying something like "75 WHP"

I would be the first in line, again like Ive said $80ish for a baseline dyno is great and like $170ish for an hr of tuning I think isnt un fair with like $50-$100ish for like every hr of tuning after that. its just hard to justify $175 just for a base line, others can, good for them, but me and it seems like others cant, plus no one is going to argue at it being cheaper

I'm all for any business charging whatever they see fit for a service they provide. That aside I do share the popular opinion that current pricing (even considering the "dyno day" pricing deals" is way off the mark.

All right boys and girls,

I spoke with the owner of Twilight Performance today and he has agreed to give us a Saturday for some Scooby fun!! To those, like me, who can't tune their cars yet want to know what their cars are putting to the wheels....$50/three pulls. To those, like SpeedyGP, who have UTEC's and would possibly like to tune.....$80/hr. Please respond if you would like to go. I haven't decided what Saturday to go, any ideas?
