Default 04 Forester XT My Review

Just picked up my 04 forester xt on tuesday night. I love the foresters power, interior etc.... Suspension will be getting a prototype praxxis system before long and I will be upgrading the brakes. My chief complaint is the TRANSMISSION. It does not like to go into reverse even after putting it in 3rd twice and trying first. Going into 5th gear seems like a far throw compared to the other gears. I will be taking it on the the track next sunday when I do instruction at homestead with chin motorsports. Well see how it holds up.

I think every Subaru has problems going into reverse. I usually let off the clutch a tad and it pops in.

You lucky bastard! We just couldn't justify forking out the extra bling for the XT on top of the already having an STi so we picked up the base model "X" Forester the other week.

To go into reverse simple push in the clutch and release and push in again. This worked 99% of the time on my 02 WRX which if I'm not mistaken has the same transmission.
