The car looks VERY well taken care of! Good luck selling it. Time for a Forester XT, eh?

STi then? Nice choice. Just FYI, the Forester really isn't THAT big and it actually handles fairly well...once you've got coil-overs, sway bars, etc underneath it. If you sell it, please make sure it goes to a good home. Car looks super clean and should be taken care of.

Ok, I'm going to be rude and post a pic of my SVX from the past.
OZ Wheels (quite obvious).
Eibach springs.

i hope the wheel bearings and brakes are also in good shape... the portly weight of the SVX wreaked havoc on the brakes that were severly undersized for their application... also the weight was a big problem as it caused many SVX's to eat up wheel bearings too.

so squeaky wheel bearings and warped rotors are very real/potential problems w/ the SVX... thats why i was shyed away from a Green 92 SVX that was super mega clean. oh, and the lack of an aftermarket was a kick in the teeth too.

the 230 HP from the H6 is entirely adequate, but the 165 HP from an 2.5 NA wouldnt even allow the car to get out of its own way... IIRC, the only reason that the SVX didnt come w/ a 5 speed originally was because FHI couldnt build/source a manual tranny to handle the 230 HP... nowadays, it might be entirely possible to swap in a newer tranny behind the original powerplant. I dont know if the bellhousing bolt pattern has changed since the SVX or what... would be an interesting project... ive always loved the look of these cars..

Oh, and watch out for window glass that is all but perfect, cuz it would cost an Arm and a leg to get it replaced... there are 3D contours in the glass which Subaru used to create a "Glasshouse" design and eliminate any exposed A,B, or C pillars. the Glass wraps all the way around the car and partially up the roof line, which makes reproduction glass very heavy, thick and expensive.

hth.

kthxbye
Chris
