no thats not what i am looking for i am looking for the y pipe that closes one side leading to the atmosphere and the other to the cat-back exhaust

yea thats what I was looking for, then I realized how you could make that work, you weld up a a y-pipe and cap off one end with the ECV and when you open the ECV, while it wont close the rest of the exhaust, (unless you rig up 2 opposing ones to the same arm) the exhaust in theory should be like elec and take the path of least resistance

but won't there still be a leak/noise coming out of there, those don't look to completely seal

you're not talkin about the exhaust valve? I thought you pop it on the bottom of the dp and put a pipe going where you want. Or you could put it on the top and have it venting out the hood(probably not good). That's not what you're talking about?

it probably would have some leak/noise, I dont know how well they seal, if its like a true TB and its an oval plate rather than a round one than it might

my other idea was to take one of the manual y pipe ones and removing the cable and attaching a small servo to opperate the actuator

they make that already, ive seen a couple f-body guys with those.
