I heard a rumor about, i think it was sport compact car mag, someone doing a test on the APS or MRT top mount and they barely did better than the stock one..and they only added like 5 WHP....is this true

an intercooler isnt always just about power gain, sometimes its cooling capacity and efficiency makes a difference.... an inefficent intercooler basically wont let you achieve your total possible power capacity...

If you do an intercooler as your first mod you will not gain anything.

On the other hand try running an APS SR30 turbo on the stock intercooler.
