is the weakness then related to the stock head gasket then, as opposed to the block/internals themselves?
21 was the supposed limit! i thought i was marginally safe, but im almost 10 psi lower than the 24-26 your running!

Jesus man! I know this is a little offtopic but I was posting like a fiend in some TEch forums and I was happy to see my quality points up to a number over 100!!! You have some major time on your hands huh??? Mr, I've got more quality pints than God and been on here less time!!!!

Mark - Who told you 21psi was the limit? What turbo were they talking about? I know a guy who runs 20psi through a VF30 everyday on his Scoob. I wouldn't recommend it, but with enough fuel, it can be done.
Why don't we all do something to piss Opie off? He never gets involved in any of the squabbles. Time to drag him down to our level.
Speaking of Opie, who's going to Subaru Challenge on Saturday? I'll be there, but won't be racing.

21 psi of boost was always what I heard on the stock internals. Safely (read: everyday driver) that is.
That is what all past generations of the open-deck ej20 have been able to handle.
