They were too backed up today and couldn't crack the case. Tranny is sitting outside the car tonight.

 

sucks ass dood did they give you a date of completion? just go up there with a stick and poke gene with it to get them moving(refer to smiley for visual instructions)

 

Not yet...gotta know what the problem is before we discuss ETAs. I don't wanna do anything that might piss Gene off, because he'll be putting the box back together regardless and I can't have him doing that angry.

 

The verdict is in...and it is:

A mushroomed selector sleeve. Of all the things to damage, a selector sleeve!? It must have happened on a misshift I had Sunday night. What a frigging suck thing to do. So now the RA gears go in with new synchros, etc. Should have the car back tomorrow night. I'm gonna skip competing in the Subaru Challenge. Shite.

 

At least come out for the goodies. Plus, if someones gonna work on my tranny... I'd like it to be Gene, and no other. The man's a freaking god when it comes to scooby tranny work.(XXXL flame suit on)

 

I'll definitely be there, but won't be auto-xing the Scoob. Will just have to sit, watch and dream of what could have been. Gene's the tranny man and is the one working on my gearbox. I think Kelly got to get his hands dirty with the car as well.
