Default Window tinting?

2 Questions: Where and What.

Where's a good place to get tint? I drove by Auto Safe and Sound (2 blocks from Mastro) and saw a WRX in there with that white dealer tape on it. Does Mastro use this place for tint? If they're using that place (which is convenient to me), I'll probably go there. Where else should I consider?

What brand/color/percent do people get. I'm thinking plain old black 35%. I've heard you should go with 3M, but is SolarGard any good?

Chime in people!

Chris

I would recommend Nu Finish Auto Salon on Florida Ave (near Reeves). They do a lot of Reeves' cars and did the tint on my WRX. I've been pretty happy with it to date. Their number is 813-962-4674 and the owner's name is Eric...how many farging Erics do I know for Jebus' sake!? Anyway, pretty cool crew, decent prices and nice work.

Auto Safe and Sound quoted me $120. How does that compare?

Make sure you get Llumar tint. Lifetime warrenty honored anywhere that uses Llumar. And I'd recommend going with the legal limits, as not to have the worry of the po-lice pulling you over.

Legal = 35% for the front doors (or the only doors on a coupe) and 20% for anything behind the driver. Windshield strip can be 20% as well.

I agree, llumar is the best...I have 5 percent all the way around my car and you cant see anything in the car....It also comes with that lifetime warranty...I would recommend llumar tint.....
