An '03 WRX is eligible for:
D-Stock (DS)
Street Touring X (STX)
Street Mod (SM)
E-Street Prepared (ESP)
F-Prepared (FP)

Depending on the car's modifications.

what modifications put you in these catagories?

mainly suspension? or a combination of engine/suspension?

The best places to reference classing issues are: http://moutons.org/sccasolo/

or find an SCCA member with a current rule book.

It would be easier for me to tell you what class you'd be in if you told me what mods you have than it would be to list what is and what isn't acceptable in each class because of all the rules.

The class systems can throw some punches...for example a stock WRX with a BOV would get bumped into Street Modified just because of the BOV. But a WRX with a cat-back exhaust, K&N Filter, Koni Struts and a larger front sway bar could still run in D-Stock.

Even though the above example is somewhat extreme, the rules do generally keep similarly modded cars grouped together.
