Talking STi downpipe solution

I haven't even taken delivery of the STi but I'm finding myself already shopping around for goodies. I think my wife is going to kill me.

I know that I want to start with the exhaust on the STi. I'm looking for a nice bell mouth or twin dump solution that is very cost effective and that will mate up with my Prodrive rear section.

I think I've found the Bosal twin dump downpipe to be a cost effective and what seems to be a well designed downpipe system $225-$250. I know that the bling-bling Vishnu downpipe seems to have the same design and this setup seems to be working really well. The only issue I see is that the Bosal downpipe will retain the rear cat which I honestly would prefer to be sitting on my garage floor. I'm looking for comments and/or suggestions on this setup and what could I use to drop the rear cat while still being able to use my Prodrive(OEM size flange). I really don't care either way regarding the resinator section prior to the rear box.

teh sexy: :o

I'm also looking for other suggestions for nice solution priced around the price range mentioned above that will mate up with OE sized flanges on the rear box?

Attractive soltution and reasonably priced but has the 3" exit which won't mate up with my Prodrive and I really like the mello sound and low key look of the Prodrive that I have. Also, it's my understanding that the twin dumb design is better than the bellmouth and only short of having the wastegate dump exernally. This is what Vishnu claims and seems to have some pretty solid R&D, data and performance numbers to back it up with. I dunno, just looking for comments.

easy street was testing DP's and found that the twin tube type worked better than a bellmouth...something about the bellmouth creating a pocket downstream. the dp that i made looked almost exactly like the one in the pics up top...

I still have the WRX but I have a buyer and it's looking like everything is comming together for a sale next week. I've actually all of the sudden receieved a flood of potential buyers in the past week, dunno what happened.

Here's the shitty part, I'm not taking delivery of the STi until November/December but that't fine as I refuse to pay MSRP on any car. I'll be driving my wifes Honda RSX.

The sig is my drool picture, not actually mine yet.

oh, but if you want to bolt that downpipe up to a catback, just take a look at Stromung's cat eliminator... it bolts on right there, between the dp and "cat-back"

ooh, and did you order the white/gold sti???

thats def the best looking STi!!!!!
