Do I have a up-pipe leak?
I put my axel back back on and can hear things I never heard before now. Noticed this when I left the pool hall tonight.
Start up, the car was already warm from the drive there, pulled out and boosted from 2k to about 5k... passenger was like woah your spool sounds crazy with your muffler on. Then I was like hmm it sounds louder than usuall... maybee its the weather, then the car warmed up some more (exhuast got upto temp) no more super loud spool... is this the dreaded up-pipe leak i've read about so many times on nasioc? They said it was like some animal screaming when yoiu had a leak... The sounds i'm hearing is just a magnified turbo spool sound...

i would think if it was the up pipe it would just sound like mad ass...maybe it's a dp leak...i dunno though. i ran without a dp for a little while and it just sounded like a loud ass turbo.

It could be a leak, but it is hard to diagnose over the internet. Just try and imagine the sound of exaust gases being pushed through a small opening and bam, thats what your exhaust leak should sound like....
easy, isn't it. You might only hear the leaking when it is cooler because the metal hasn't had a chance to fully heat up and expand.
There will be some resulting power loss with a leak, although it might be to small to notice now. Try getting up near the wheel well or under the car if you can so you can try and hear if there is a leak or not. You can also try looking at the connecting points for your exhaust pieces, you might see some black sooty deposits from the escaping exhaust gases.
