Well, I wouldn't run Drag Radials if I was worried about the best handleing I could get. You want something with a much stiffer sidewall then what a DR is going to give you. They are designed to hook in a straightline and part of the way they do that is to allow flex in the sidewall.

Well, what are you going to be doing with your car? Is it a daily driver that you just want to handle better or is it a race prepped track car? If you are going to drive around on the tires you choose then I would probably go with the Falken Azeni because of price and performance. If its a track car I would probably do the Kuhmo Victorracers or the BFG competition road course tire.
I had the Falkens Azenis on my WRX and they really had amazing grip along with an unbeatable price for you bang. The downsides of these tires are the wear rating(not bad considering the price), road noise and not the most rain friendly thread pattern. Otherwise these honestly are nothing short of amazing "street tires". These tires perform really well on a Solo II type of course but in my experience they quickly become unpredictible and "greasy" once they reach a certain temps making them undesirable for open track or Solo I use.
Depending on your needs I would actually suggest comparing the Falkens with the Kuhmo MX. It has been my understanding that with the MX's the grip is very comparable to the Falkens while offering a more reaonable thread pattern and less road noise. These are a bit more expensive but I have a feeling these will be my next set of tires.
If you're "tracking it" you really need to research R compound tires. The Kuhmo Victorracers are a very popular afforable choice. These types of tires generaly unacceptable for street use due to wear, noise, stiffness, thread and pickup. There are a few R compound choices out that are "more streetable" but I doubt this is what you're looking for unless you're insane and rich. Seriously, I'm not just going on rant here and I doubt you will find a single professional that would advise such a setup on a street car.
I think springs are a poor choice w/o the appropriate struts unless more going for bling. I think you should start with a rear sway bar and endlinks and slowly work your way up while researching very carefully. Suspension can very tricky and expensive with disapointing results unless you know what you're doing and know exactly what you're looking to accomplish.
Also, you will seriously risk killing yourself with a roll cage in a daily driven car. This really is a VERY bad idea unless it's a dedicated track car driven to events on trailer. All it takes is small fender bender to send your head towards the roll cage without a helmet you're very likley to have serious head injuries. The padding will only help to soak up the blood. :o

Sways, mounts, strut bars, links, ALK, JIC coil-overs with pillow balls (adjustable fronts, fixed rears). Thinking about adjustable control arms in the rear, but it seems a touch over the top for a daily driver.
Will probably do STi Al control arms this winter to relieve some of the unsprung weight up front. All this touches the ground through 18x7.5 wheels and 225/40/18 Nitto 555s. Liked the Toyo T1-S I had on the car before, but destroyed them as the result of my own stupidity.
Haven't had a chance to really drive the Nittos hard, but they seem like a decent option for the money.
Need to address the tranny and clutch issue before doing anything more to the suspension. Plus, the thing rides stiff as Hell as it is, so I'm not sure how much further I really want to go...famous last words.

thankyou plas and tampawrx for answering the question i had originally posted....
thankyou for the input too billy and lstepnio....the cage is up in the air since it probably won't be the prettiest think with the budget i have now..i just wanted a bit more rigidity in my ride.
and as for the tires...i'll just go look for a few r compounds. road noise and aqua tread aren't an issue because i have A SECOND SET OF RIMS so i won't be driving them on the street....unless i win the lotto and can afford a 550 hp suby to outrun the cops every now and then....i am joking thankyou....
