This is like asking a higher tax bracket shopper "Porsche 911 TT/Ferrari 360 Modena/Ford GT40, which would you buy and why?" You're going to get a multitude of answers.

So here's mine . I'd buy the STi, because it's a solid performer out of the box, it has huge upgrade potential, the six speed tranny is strong, the engine already has forged internals and most importantly, it's not a Mitsubishi.

As for my question, I'd go with the 911 TT. In the real world it's a match for either the Ferrari or the Ford, it's cheaper and is more appealing to me because of its turbocharged system. Besides that, it's just plain lovely to my eye.

NOT A MITSUBISHI...

I agree on the STi bit, although, you can get quite a good bang for the buck modding up a regular WRX.....

As for the exotics... 100% porche... no 2 ways about it.. especially after seeing one of them on the dyno at Mastro! WOW:o

They sound absolutely evil....
And besides, it seems like ferraris are too much of a status symbol, i dont want to be seen, i wanna DRIVE...

i would definately go for the sti as well, it only cost $5000-$7000 more than the wrx and you get 73 extra hp
whats the evo cost isn't it around $35,000
the only things i don't like on the sti is the headlights and the hoodscoop that looks like a horn but the performance makes up for that

I like the STI as well, however it's not available as a wagon... so I'll stick with my WRX and spend the 5K difference that I would have spent on the STI on mods for the wagon.

STI, you couldnt build a WRX for $5000-6000 that would have a 6 speed, better brakes, better seats, etc.. and a OK bottom end. whats the cheapest you've seen a 6 speed for sale for? best I've seen was close to 4K.

I dont give a shit about all the goodies that the STI has, yeah, it's all good... but give me 5 grand and I'll still have fun with my rex.

I'm not shooting for an STI killer, I just want a faster, more responsive wagon.

I'd go with an Evo. The cars are making insane amounts of power with relatively few mods and they're winning comparos pretty much in every category they test, besides straight line acceleration. Stock for stock, the Sti has the advantage in a straight line. But that is very easily remedied.

Maybe this question would have more than one "Evo" response if it was in general car chat rather than Subaru.
