okay, one of the most enticing aspects of a new hyundai is its warranty. (10 yr./100,000 mi. including all kinds of roadside assistance stuff.) to put it bluntly, you just can't beat it. for skeptics (as to the quality/reliability of the cars), that alone should be enough to convince you that the cars are at least worth taking a look at. that says that the company is willing to stand behind their product - i mean, if the cars were complete pos's, hyundai would bankrupt itself with that kinda warranty, am i right? also if you do have a problem, you know you're covered, no worries there. that is, if you're planning on keeping it for a long period of time (since as some people have noted, the retail value is pathetic). with responsible maintenence and all - they're probably not what you'd want for modding - elantras are (or at least should be, in my opinion) competitive to equivalent cars. they're a significant amt. less expensive than civics, corollas, etc... and you get a lot more car for your money than an echo. hyundai is a brand new korean car company, so of course it doesn't have the same reputation as toyota and honda do... but they are trying to make a name for themselves. i have no complaints so far.
