Keith, Dave... remember this is a SOHC motor, a .48 a/r is ideal for his application.
Dave, SRP pistons are fine for a street motor, the tolerances are not all that great (.01 instead of .001 like Endyn Wiseco, or Arias) but they will do as long as the block wasn't honed too much.
As far as the detonation issue, they are FORGED pistons, they hold up well against detonation, I never had a problem with mine. In fact, you could see mine still sitting in my block, with no damage to them from my breaking a rod. (other then chips from them bouncing around the cylinder wall.)
If you have the cash, go Wisego or Arias, with Eagle, or Crower rods, depending on goals. If not, don't pass up the SRP's as a decent inexpensive alternative.
