The car that has more money into it will go faster, period.
engine bore runs about 250 from a reputable shop.
bearings specd out runs 250-260 from nissan.
new head bolts or arps are either 50 dollars or 120 dollars, your choice.
a new head gasket either oe or copper is going to be like 30 dollars or more, metal headgaskets are usually around 100, do they make one for the KA?
good pistons are about 450-460 a set including rings.
good rods are like 550 or so ? something like crowers.
$1600 and you still have to buy an entire turbo setup. hehehe. That gives you choices of running a JWT ecu or a stand alone, both of which aren't cheap either.
Hands down an SR is cheaper, but SS is working to make a good turbo kit for the ka's for a great price
