I like the shutter idea.
Cutting an HID off and on to switch Hi/Low beams will kill HID's because of the heat and cooldown and reheating.
.....something the kids don't understand.


High end cars use the gate/shutter.....HID stays on....and you don't kill a bulb that dealers sell for $130.
If I was racing at lemans, I would have all kinds of extra lights.


Almost never do I get on a road where there are no cars.....and cops don't like to see super bright bulbs in FL.
I go with Factory lights, too.
Some cars have auto dimming if another car approaches and your hi beams are on.
