Charger/Challenger headlights HID's

If someone says he wants OEM lights and if it's anything like Challenger or adding most factory options, it's going to be a major ordeal.

I would leave them alone before I went with some aftermarket bulbs. Not sure Charger is the same but on my Challenger the HIDs are always on bright and there's an electric shutter that drops down with a clunk you can hear to lower the upper cutoff to make them low beams so not sure how to get all the to work. The factory lights are great, glad I've got them.

OP, if brightness is your main concern, you should consider replacing the original 9005SL+ halogens with Wagner HIR-1 9011 units. The HIR bulbs are substantially brighter with the same power draw.

The two main drawbacks are that you'll have to modify the tabs on the 9011s slightly (you can use a Dremel, a nipper, a nail clipper, etc), and they'll have a shorter lifespan (about 400 hours) than the OEM 9005s (700 hours or so). But it's a cheap and effective upgrade.

I like the shutter idea.
Cutting an HID off and on to switch Hi/Low beams will kill HID's because of the heat and cooldown and reheating.
.....something the kids don't understand.

High end cars use the gate/shutter.....HID stays on....and you don't kill a bulb that dealers sell for $130.
If I was racing at lemans, I would have all kinds of extra lights.

Almost never do I get on a road where there are no cars.....and cops don't like to see super bright bulbs in FL.
I go with Factory lights, too.
Some cars have auto dimming if another car approaches and your hi beams are on.
