Brother they keep changing these gas cans making them less easy to use SO THAT YOU WILL 'HAVE" to buy a kit to fix it so that it functions properly. Dont you see this is a cash grab scheme. If it aint broke dont fix it is the common sense view BUT some smart ass greedy **** figured out that (metaphorically) breaking it will extract more cash from the people by selling "the fix" you see thats how these greedy ****s think "how can we create a revenue generating situation from nothing" . If you looked into things further im guessing you would find a corporate link (probably quite difficultly) probably through a series of numbered companies and business relationships (relatives) of the gas can manufacturer(s) and the government that are linked to the original manufacturer(s). It is directly in their interests to get more money out of people...well how do we do that? ....its a gas can how much more expensive can we make it? ....well you cant really its a can thats it theres not much you can do to improve or complicate a can.....but then ?....hey "complicated" ....we will make it more complicated and awkward to use and then sell a simple solution restore to simple function kit ...BINGO!!! Thats how we can reinvent a unimprovable device and MAKE MORE MONEY!!! Thats the line of thinking that causes these companies to ruin a simple product in order to make you "PURCHASE" the repair kit.....TA DAAAA!!
