ok some information for people to gawk at and for me to record my findings. im using 2 denso 56027913ab alternators there were about 6 of them at the yard if you get the plain 56027913 ones they have lug terminals instead of a plug.so I wired the outputs in parallel and the fields in parallel it produced 170+ volts dc. so I put the fields in series and the max power of the pwm excited the output to 130+ volts dc both at max rpm of the engine. the engine spins at around 3600 rpm and has a 6 inch shiv the altrnatrs have a 2 inch. if spun while energized there is some type of flux synchronization loop (made that up myself lol) or some thing I have no idea what its called but it seems to feedback into itself and create heat so I found at 80 volts and max engine rpm the temps stabilized at 160 *F so far I am very happy with the output and adjustability using the pwm to control the field. also it takes 4 times longer to dissipate magnetism from the field when using 2 alternators instead of one.
