simply not true. dont know where you got that info but it is not correct. evo 8 cranks are newer only. not stronger or lighter.
all the cranks I have are nitrided. makes the crank far more durable. dumb to build 7 bolt without it. I have never sold a nitrided crank to anyone. apparently the extra cost isnt worth the extra reliability to anyone else. .
