there is a lot of potential in the VG motor...but most people wont take the time to find it. the biggest issue is getting upgrade parts for it...mainly turbo manifold, intake, intercooler piping, etc. There are only a few turbo manifolds that are of any quality for the VG30ET....matt knows them by heart.
The biggest thing you have to do, and I never listened to matt on this, is the clutch. It is the top priority if you want to make it faster. Also if you can live without the A/C it makes it insanely easier to work around the turbo.
Its good for straight line and highway. With some work it could be made for corners, but a drifter it will never be.
