That's how the bushings are. I have a real MM K- member and aluminum rack bushings and it seems like the rack would move but it doesn't.

Still no excuse for using an MM knockoff
I didn't know that until after I bought it about 6 months ago. I knew I didn't want a UPR, the Granatelli looked pretty beefy. I know MM and Griggs (and maybe Agent 47) are the gold standard.
