The part numbers were torn off the boxes. ended up the gear ratio was hurting and not helping so we reinstalled the factory 4.53. When the final 4.11 was removed it was mysteriously chipped on half the teeth. The matter was brought to sheps attention and he said to send the gear back so he could shave the chipped portion of the gear off. he said it should have been dome before shipment and apologized for it.
If shep is your favorite trans builder i have more true stories to tell you about if you want to her them.
I'm actually glad you brought this up as it is a very good example of a customer not getting what he paid for. This is a situation I am very familiar with as I have tuned this car and aided in planning the setup of it as well. The customer in question purchased the Evo transmission from yourself, which was said to be an Evo IX transmission. The 4.11 final drive did not hurt the cars acceleration, what did however is the Evo 8 4th gear that was in the transmission. Now for others who do not have first hand knowledge regarding that situation, the customer paid for an Evo IX transmission as that was the plan to keep the shorter 4th gear with the longer final drive for optimal gearing of the customers trap speed goals. During tuning in 4th gear on a local dyno, I noticed that the mph @8,000rpms did not add up on either my logs or the tach. On stock size tires and 4.11 final drive with the Evo IX 4th gear, the mph should be right on 132.2mph. With the Evo VIII 4th gear and 4.11 final drive, the mph is approx. 142.46mph. Guess what, both logs and tach showed 142mph @ 8,000rpms. The customer in question contacted you in which you swore up and down that it was a full Evo IX transmission.

I like you Jerry, I really have never had any personal issues with you myself, but from what I have seen others going through lately with business dealings of yours, I am not very happy to see them. I know both Orlando and the customer in question above very well. They are good honest hard working individuals that imo have been wronged. I wish you would take a step back, swallow your pride for a moment and consider the possibility that you are capable of making mistakes. Once that is done, I believe you will do the right thing and correct them accordingly.
