A loose converter will have little drop as its slipping and not coupling. Kind of like 1 rpm all the way down the track.

A tight converter will kill the spoolup but couple hard. Both are extreme scenarios and i've dealt with both. Car was faster with the loose converter.
from gear to gear WOT its drops about 200rpm....the spool up is a issue that im having it seems like a N/A car when you first hit it...with the 3.73 i was running out of gear 2 cars before the 1000 now with the 3.27 im getting threw the traps but top speed at 6200 rpm is still 130 with both gears

i called ptc and they are got to tighten it up and they told me from the sound of it that its real loose and it should be alot quicker with the tighter convertor
