LS1 heads, the older junk castings flow almost 270-280 in stock form and then with some CNC work 243 castings will flow over 300 cfm. Its hard pressed to find a good set of Ford aftermarket heads that will flow over 300 cfm.
They respond to cams great, and turbos even better. Look at what little 5.3s with Z06 or even 6.0 truck cams are doing with just a MP76. Heck, look at what some are doing with just 5.3s and MS3 or MS4 cams and a carb. Stock for stock the whole platform is just better. Look at stock LS3/L92 heads, 320CFM out of the box. That's BB flow numbers gentlemen.
Now I like and have much respect for Fords sb windsors but, there certainly not my first pick when I think of an engine I wanna put in my coupe.
