I think he was more concerned with what happens if they arent replaced. Honestly, I doubt that anything catastrophic will happen but its severely annoying. If you want a temp fix add some lucas oil stabilizer. Other than that just bite the bullet and replace them; If it was me Id make it worth my time and install cams while I was in there.
