Dunno if any of you guys know this history of the Escort 1.9. But there's a little known fact that the 1.9 was in the Spec Racer Ford for the SCCA. It was 109HP engine setup with the 1.9. Basically had a tune, some port work done by Rousch and headers.

Pretty funny to see the little 1.9 engine and MTX in a rear drive setup . It even used the stock air cleaner box!
