Because they like it. Because its what they want and what they think is "cool". It doesnt make the car any faster/slower. It doesnt do anything. Your just singling out one thing. And that would be bike racks.

I think that people with body kits and neon lights look odd, but you dont see me over here making threads about it... But who cares? Its that persons car, not mine.
