most would argue that the hawk pad falls some where in between the ebc green and the ebc yellow.

hawk seems to be more hit or miss as far as noise is concerned. and personally, I would have a slotted rotor if I was going hawk as they "seem" to be made of a little bit "harder" compound.
This is pretty spot on. I ran the Hawk Performance pads on my Z brakes and loved them. I run EBC Red stuff on the rears of my Q and they are fine, but they are just rears. EBC green stuff is just an oem replacement pad and that is it. If you want pefromance step up a level in EBC. I would suggest you go with Hawk Performance or the Akebono's. The Akebono's are in the same category as a mild step up from OEM but not super performance. I ran thos eon My Q45 front brakes when they were on my 240. G/L
