If your car is like mine you can use the 98+ fobdy calipers as well so you can from single pistons to dual pistons,.

I run Axxis Ultimates. Great for daily and perfect for some track use. Minimal noise, dust isnt too bad, and it drives like a regular pad with great initial bite cold and not too harsh but when you really put some pressure to the pedal your kissing the windsheild lol. If you get some heat in the brakes and then give it hell I've made people sick including myself from stopping so fast. Its like a light headed feeling. I have heard mixed oppinions on Hawk, a lot say the HP+ are greasy feeling for a street car and need heat. Then HPS being just an ok pad. I hear real good things about Akebono too.

For performance EBC pads are the absolute worst pad on the market. A bar of soap would stop better. That said, for the street they will suffice. I have them on my RT/10 because they don't squeal, are low dust and very affordable. In fact, I usually get them very, very cheap because they suck so bad most guys want to get rid of them.

I'm running Hawk HPS pads with stock rotors and stainless brake lines. A couple weeks ago I was at the Dragon with this setup and it performed wonderfully. They made some noise when they were heated up, but nothing annoying. Also, the feel over stock is amazing the brake pedal is like a fucking brick (makes for easy heel-toe).

Gah I'm SO jealous. I had tons of exams and didn't have the time to drive up there for it. I need to just take a week off work and go have some damn fun.

A lot of people don't know the difference and expect the cheaper oem replacement to make them stop like an indy car.
where as, people who get the EBC pads aren't expecting much out of them since they know they are getting the cheap oem replacement pad so the fact that it is any better than stock is awesome.
both the hawk pads and the ebc pads are better than what is on your car now.
most would argue that the hawk pad falls some where in between the ebc green and the ebc yellow.

hawk seems to be more hit or miss as far as noise is concerned. and personally, I would have a slotted rotor if I was going hawk as they "seem" to be made of a little bit "harder" compound.
This is pretty spot on. I ran the Hawk Performance pads on my Z brakes and loved them. I run EBC Red stuff on the rears of my Q and they are fine, but they are just rears. EBC green stuff is just an oem replacement pad and that is it. If you want pefromance step up a level in EBC. I would suggest you go with Hawk Performance or the Akebono's. The Akebono's are in the same category as a mild step up from OEM but not super performance. I ran thos eon My Q45 front brakes when they were on my 240. G/L

+1 on the Hawk HPS pads

I had those and Brembo OE blank rotors on my del sol and although the car was slow as hell it stopped way better than stock. As long as they are bedded in correctly there will be minimal noise, and I never noticed any dusting so that was a added bonus.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to step up to the dual piston aluminum vette calipers and 12"s blank rotors and the hawks. I think they will be more than sufficient for the regal for the time being.
