well the hawks have an OEM replacement pad and a street performance pad.
A lot of people don't know the difference and expect the cheaper oem replacement to make them stop like an indy car.
where as, people who get the EBC pads aren't expecting much out of them since they know they are getting the cheap oem replacement pad so the fact that it is any better than stock is awesome.
both the hawk pads and the ebc pads are better than what is on your car now.
most would argue that the hawk pad falls some where in between the ebc green and the ebc yellow.
hawk seems to be more hit or miss as far as noise is concerned. and personally, I would have a slotted rotor if I was going hawk as they "seem" to be made of a little bit "harder" compound.
