You should really stick to the imports and let the big boys talk about carburetors.
Judging by your comment, you dont seem to have the slightest clue what a carburetor is, what it does, how it works, or what its purpose is.
You made another comment in another thread that I read. You told the OP that his torq converter must be bad or his transmission needed to be rebuilt. Yet you failed to explain how you came upon that determination and what information you based it on. I'm of the opinion that basically you have no clue,.. it just sounded good so you typed it up.
This is Ford Tech.
Here in Ford Tech we pride ourselves on proper, informative and useful information. Above all else,.. CORRECT information, particularly when it concerns technical information. IE: Helping someone with a problem.
You just told this person that they need to replace their carb unless they want to adjust it every month? Holley carbs are the most prolific carbs on this planet. They do not need constant adjustment.
Then you stated your father had a Holley carb in his 86 Corvette. You do realize that 86 Corvettes had L98 motors in them correct? I'll give you a hint. They were not carb'd.
Then you go on to state how he had a custom made 750 carb that flowed 900,.. 900 what you dont say. I can only assume that you mean CFM. And again,.. 900 cfm single carb on an L98 engine? Custom made,.. seriously? How old are you,.. 12?
When you post bullshit to someone else that may or may not understand what they have or where the problem is only creates more problems for that person. You should not tell people something that you honestly know nothing about. If you want to learn then you are more than welcome to stick around. If not then please refrain from making technical comments in Ford Tech.
Thank you.
