Hurst, you're wrong and that is all there is to it. You are not an upholsterer, nor have you ever been. So you have no idea what it takes to upholster a seat. 3 hours? It takes more than that to do ONE seat in quality fashion; trust me, I'm not speaking out of my ass.

Your Fury seats do look good. But take into consideration: 1.) He used material he had in his shop (already paid for by another job, thus all material costs are profit from there on out), 2.) They are FLAT bench seats - these are NOT the same as a Fox Body set of bucket seats. A monkey can do a set of flat bench seats in all black and sew the lines nice, tight, and straight, and make money at $350 for the set. Adding in the door panels on that car is just as easy (again, flat, simple).

Look at your Fox Body seats. Lumbar supports on each side; pull out leg support in the center of the bottom of the seats, seperate head rests, sew lines through the centers of the seats (top & bottom), smooth outer bolsters, all of which is trimmed in piping. There is over $350 in material (decent/good material) in a set of Fox Body seats to be done. It takes a well-versed crafstman at least 3 hours PER SEAT to complete one, and that'd be pushing it.

It's okay to be a jew, and it's also okay to search for a deal - and get them on occassion! But what I speak is factual, so take it or leave it is fine by me.

This is a set we did - FOUR YEARS AFTER having installed them, and they still look great:

These were probably close to a $1,000 job - which we did not charge that much to the person because they are a very close member of our friends/family and also a contributing member to this site.

If you want something inexpensive, this is an example of a job that only takes a few hours to complete and is far less expensive:
